WeSpeak will host its 2025 Signature Event on Thursday, May 15, featuring Melissa Majors.
A spokesperson said, “WeSpeak, Bermuda’s leading platform dedicated to amplifying women’s voices, will host its 2025 Signature Event on Thursday, May 15, featuring internationally recognized author, speaker, and leadership strategist Melissa Majors.
“Majors will deliver her acclaimed session, Help Her Thrive, at the Hamilton Princess’ Harbourview Ballroom. The event is designed for professionals across industries who want to better understand how to create environments where women’s voices are not just heard—but elevated.
“Known for her research-based, accessible delivery style, Majors combines insights from leadership theory, neuroscience, and lived experience to offer practical strategies for building inclusive spaces. Her work has reached audiences at Microsoft, Google, Salesforce, and other major global organisations.”
“Melissa Majors brings a message that deeply resonates with WeSpeak’s mission,” said Sue Khan, Executive Director of WeSpeak. “She gives people the tools to speak up, lift others, and lead with intention. Her time in Bermuda will be transformational for professionals and young women alike.”
About the Signature Event: Help Her Thrive
The spokesperson said, “The main event will take place at Hamilton Princess on Thursday, May 15. Attendees are invited to an optional drinks reception with canapés from 4:00 to 5:30 p.m, followed by the keynote event from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Tickets are $75, which includes entry, and access to the networking reception.
“Help Her Thrive explores how to recognise the hidden barriers that keep women from reaching their full potential, and how to equip teams and individuals to overcome them. Majors focuses on the conditions that can be created to unlock performance, encourage authenticity, and support confidence within communities.
“Attendees will leave with practical frameworks for action, including how to:
- Lead inclusively and empathetically
- Amplify the voices of others
- Create psychological safety in teams
- Support women’s confidence and professional growth”
In Melissa Majors’ own words, “You are not future leaders. You are leaders right now. You have dreams that are bold, ideas that are brilliant, and a voice that can move mountains. But here’s the truth: the world won’t always hand you the microphone – you have to step up to it. This isn’t just about learning to shine. It’s about claiming your space, lifting others around you as you rise, owning your brilliance – and making sure the world feels it.”
The spokesperson said, “Tickets are limited and early registration is encouraged via bit.ly/WeSpeakMelissaMajors.
“Majors’ visit will also include two satellite events designed to extend her message of empowerment and inclusion.
“On May 14, she will lead a masterclass for WeSpeak coaches, titled ‘Help Them Thrive.’ This invitation-only session is tailored for those who support women professionally or personally and focuses on how to coach with inclusion, empathy, and clarity.
“In the afternoon, Majors will present similar content to teen girls aged 13 to 17 from Bermuda’s senior schools. This interactive workshop will help young women develop presence, confidence, and leadership communication skills in a supportive environment.
“WeSpeak extends its sincere thanks to confirmed event sponsors Aspen, Deloitte, Hamilton Princess, and Markel, whose support is helping to bring this impactful programming to life. Sponsorship opportunities remain available, and interested organisations are encouraged to contact suzanne@wespeak.bm for more information.
