Police Confirm Death Of Man In Warwick

[Updated] Police have confirmed the death of a man who was found unresponsive in Warwick this morning.

A police spokesperson said, “Around 8:20 a.m. on Monday, May 5, 2025, police received a report of a person in an unresponsive state on Tribe Road #6 in Warwick.

“Officers were dispatched to the area upon arrival found the lifeless body of a male.

“An investigation into the circumstances surrounding the man’s death has commenced.

“No further information will be provided, pending notification of the next of kin.”

Update: A police spokesperson said, “Around 9:15 a.m. on Monday, May 5, 2025, officers were dispatched to a reported sudden death in the area of Tribe Road No6, Warwick.

“On arrival officers observed an unresponsive male sitting in the driver’s seat of a motorcar.

“Upon further inspection, the officers were able to identify the individual as Mr. Jose Paiva, who was reported missing on Sunday, May 4, 2025.

“A Medical Doctor attended the scene and certified the death, which was not deemed to be suspicious.

“The Bermuda Police Service extends condolences to the family of the deceased.”
