The Bermuda Police Service is urging the public not to share videos showing minors in distress or involved in altercations and to contact the police with any information about the incidents.

A police spokesperson said, “The Bermuda Police Service [BPS] is aware of a video-clip of a child in distress, while travelling on a PTB bus, as well as another, involving two teenaged girls in school uniform engaged in a physical altercation, being circulated on social media.

“Please be aware that in each of these unrelated clips, the subjects are minors.

“We are appealing to the public that should you receive these video-clips, you do not forward them on. We urge you to instead delete them.

“If you have information on either of these incidents, please contact Detective Inspector, Kenten Trott, of the Vulnerable Persons Unit, on 717-2345 or, via e-mail, kenten.trott@bps.bm.

“You may also call the main police number, 295-0011 or, 211.”
