Consumers paid 2.8% more in July 2011 than they did a year ago for the CPI basket of goods and services, the same inflation level as measured in June 2011. Between June and July 2011, the average cost of goods and services in the Consumer Price Index rose 0.2%. The all-items index increased from 116.6 to 116.9 index points.
