Slideshow & Video: Igor Nears St Georges

The photos and videos below were taken this morning [Sept 19] from 9am to 11am, showing various parts of the East End of Bermuda, showing the increased winds and high surf as Hurricane Igor approaches. Dr Marc Guishard of the Weather Service had earlier reported sightings of tornadic activity on the radar in the East End, and recomended the Causeway be closed accordingly.

The video below,filmed this from 9am -11am morning, shows Ordinance Island, off Fort St. Catherines, Achilles Bay, Blackbeards, Fort St Catherines Beach, Ferry Reach by the airport, the Causeway roundabout, Clearwater stretch, swing bridge by St Davids roundabout and more.
