Minister Dunkley Celebrates World Book Day
As children around Bermuda celebrated World Book Day on March 6, 2014, many high profile guests took the time to interact with them in their appreciation of books, including Minister Michael Dunkley, who visited Happy Valley Child Care during story time.
According to a spokesperson, “Recently, Minister of National Security Michael Dunkley celebrated World Book Day by participating in a book drive organised by Hott 107.5’s radio personality Nikita Robinson.
“Last Thursday [Mar 6], hundreds of books were provided to children throughout Bermuda, and Minister Dunkley, with a set of books in hand, stopped by Happy Valley Child Care to spend some time reading to the little ones.
Minister Dunkley said, “I want to commend Mrs. Robinson for organizing this community effort to provide every nursery and preschool student with a free book in celebration of World Book Day. I was pleased to do my part on behalf of our young people.”
“In addition to Minister Dunkley, several other Parliamentarians participated in World Book Day by reading to students at various schools around the island. They included Opposition MP Michael Weeks, Deputy Speaker Suzanne Roberts-Holshouser, and former Government Minister Lt/Col David Burch.
“World Book Day has been held on March 6 each year for the past 17 years. It is a day to celebrate authors, illustrators, books and most importantly, it’s a day to celebrate reading. It is recognised in 100 countries around the world, including Bermuda, providing an opportunity for children of all ages come together to appreciate reading.”

Trust he left his potty mouth in the HOA
At first, he looked like George Bush, the picture shown worldwide on 9-11
Hoping he used nice words and not the bad language we all heard him refer to signers of the petition against gaming.
This is funny. He doesn’t have 2 press secretaries like the premier but he gets more press.
Talk about value for money.
