Photos: Friendship Trophy Football Final Match

The Friendship Trophy match took place at the National Sports Centre on New Year’s Day [Jan 1], with the Dandy Town Hornets and Robin Hood matching up, and Dandy Town winning 4-3.

The two teams advanced to the finals after the Dandy Town Hornets defeated PHC Zebras 3-2, and Robin Hood defeated the Somerset Trojans 1 – 0.

However, questions have arisen as to whether the Dandy Town Hornets may have fielded an ineligible player, and more is expected to be heard on the matter in the coming days, and the possibility exists that the Hornets may not retain the trophy if found to have, in fact, fielded an ineligible player.
