Photos: Women’s Field Hockey League Action

Women’s hockey league action took place this past weekend with the Canaries defeating the Swallows, and the Longtails going down to the Ravens.

Swallows 2 Canaries 3

Natasha Hallinan scored back to back Penalty Corner goals in the 6th and 21st minutes to give the Swallows a 2 – 0 lead, Shana Grififths pulled a goal back for the Swallows with a Field Goal in the 24th minute, the Canaries got two goals in the final five minutes to earn the win via Penalty Corners off the stick of Claudine Pullen in the 65th and 70th minutes.

Longtails 1 Ravens 3

Emma Simmons gave the Ravens the lead in the 16th minute with a Field Goal, Tiara Correia drew the Longtails level with a Field Goal in the 20th minute. Charlotte Rose gave the Ravens the lead in the 27th minute with a Field Goal and then Megan Troake closed out the scoring with a Field Goal for the Ravens in the 49th minute in their 3 – 1 win.
