The semi-finals in the CellOne Island Basketball League recently took place in the CedarBridge Academy Gymnasium, with teams able to secure spots in the finals.

The opening game needed overtime in the Men’s Division, eventually seeing the Thunder Cats defeat the Twisters 84 – 82. Jason Lowe led the Thunder Cats to victory with a game high 29 points, while the Twisters were led by Sarbor Bey, who scored 19 point.

The Court Queens defeated the Pink Panthers 24 – 13. Amorli Smith scored six points for the Lady Hawks, while Mary Ellen Jackson led the Pink Panthers with five points.

The second team to make it to the Men’s Final was the Crossfire Ballers after they defeated the Rimrockers 63 – 53. Regular season MVP Dean Jones scored 32 points for the Crossfire Ballers, while the Rimrockers were led by Ronnie Bushner with 19 points
