Photos & Video: Parade Of Bands Underway

June 13, 2015

[Updated with video] The inaugural Bermuda Heroes Weekend continues this afternoon [June 13] with the Parade of Bands now underway in the Dockyard area.

The 4-day event kicked off last night with a stage show in Hamilton, which was followed by the early morning J’Ouvert celebrations in Dockyard, with all three events thus far seeing a great turnout, as locals flock to enjoy the new offering.

Bermuda Heroes Weekend will continue tomorrow with the Pan In The Park in Victoria Street, and the Raft-Up off Admiralty House will take place on Monday. You can see all our coverage of Bermuda Heroes Weekend here.

To each their own…This had been a pleasant occasion for the many youngsters, and I’m glad you all, (it appeared) had been enjoying it. But, unfortunately, age is catching me up and I along with others had to sit it this one out :-(

This was an amazing day. This was one day that all our people young and not as young joined in. All participants as I saw it made history today, Bermuda’s first CARNIVAL! I am so very very proud of my nephews KING JYRUS and his crew REALFRENZ! You could be sure Bermuda I will be back next year.

Great Job to My Bermudian People!

I think it should always end in dockyard, not everything needs to be in town.
