Sunday August 9th: “Good News” Spotlight
News that the Government recognised Bermuda’s Public Service Scholarship recipients for their academic achievements, Bermuda’s athletes finished the CAC and Commonwealth Games with a total of seven medals, and Elias Reece, Ishmeal Naylor and Remy Donawa received Bermuda Airport Authority Aviation Bursary Awards were among the positive news stories from the past week.
In additional good news, Dr Brown’s Institute of Health Sciences became a VTCT Skills Approved Centre, Sakari Famous won high jump bronze at the Central American and Caribbean Games, Adriana Penruddocke won gold and Sebastian Kempe bronze at the Central American and Caribbean Games, eleven students received the Ministry’s Student Trailblazer Out Front Awards and Jessica Lewis won a bronze medal at the Commonwealth Games in Scotland.
