Sunday August 23rd: “Good News” Spotlight

News that Lester Bradley won the RUBiS ‘Fuel For Life’ promotion valued at $112,500, ‘Yachting Matters’ magazine featured Bermuda, Sandys Parish Council awarded four education bursaries, and the Nike Golf PGA Team Championship of Canada will head to Bermuda were all some of the positive news stories from the past week.

Other good news stories included gold medalist Jessica Lewis being officially congratulated at the Cabinet Office after returning home, Sarai Hines receiving the BSOA 2015 Bursary Award, Dominique Richardson being selected as an ACE trainee and Deunte Darrell and Ellsworth Bean being named Cricket Players Of Week.

In additional good news, Nahki Wells against both Fulham and Blackburn, Bermuda’s Delray Rawlins was selected for the English Cricket Board U17 Super 4’s, a sea turtle nest was found on a beach with 15 hatchlings, and Ryan Robinson Perinchief was awarded a scholarship.
