News that more than 20 tall ships with some 1,400 crew have signed up to visit the island, professional football team New York Cosmos will train in Bermuda, Dage Minors was named the East Region Track Athlete of Year by USTFCCCA, and Bermuda High School raised over $80,000 at its first ever St. Baldrick’s event were all some of the positive news stories from the past week.

In other good news, entrepreneur Sam Roberts launched a technical services business called BermyTech, Bermudian Rodney Smith is getting set to mow 50 lawns in 50 American states, HSBC staff volunteered their time to assist food programmes, Bermudian footballer Dante Leverock was called a “rising talent in CONCACAF,” and seven overseas hockey teams will visit the island.
We also posted various community photo galleries, spanning basketball, the Best of the Best Swimming Meet, the Beyond Rugby Championship, the FEI World Jumping Challenge, International Women’s Day celebrations, the Bermuda National Trust’s auction, and the ‘Rediscover the Rail Trail’ event.
