9 Year Old Girl Struck By Motorbike
Just before 7pm yesterday (May 30), a 9 year old girl was struck by a motorbike on Berkeley Road in Pembroke.
The Police say that it appears that a car had stopped to allow the 9 year old Pembroke girl to cross the road to retrieve a ball. However, when the girl attempted to cross the road again after retrieving the ball, she was struck by a motorcycle traveling north on Berkeley Road. The little girl sustained a cut to her right elbow and right ankle, complained of back pain and was taken to King Edward Memorial Hospital for treatment of her injuries which are not considered serious.
The rider of the motorcycle, a 33 year old Sandys parish man, was not injured and the motorcycle was not damaged.
