Burglar Sentenced To Three Years In Jail

April 19, 2013

Tracyston Mallory, 26, was sentenced to three years in prison after being convicted of multiple burglaries — including trying to rob the same house twice.

The first burglary was in January 2013, at a Vesey Street residence where Mallory entered and got away with jewelry and cash valued at over $3,000. The second was in February 2013 at a Valley Heights Devonshire residence where he broke a window to gain entry and made off with jewelry valued at approximately $1,600.

A few days later Mallory made a third attempt at burglary — this time another attempt at the first residence. However someone was at home, spotted him, and the Police were called and quickly caught Mallory on Vesey Street.

In Police custody, Mallory admitted the break-ins and attempted break-in. Mallory told Police that he was doing it to get money for his heroin habit.

After reviewing the various reports, Senior Magistrate Archie Warner commented that Mallory had a criminal record for this kind of offence that went back to 2007, and that under the circumstances, prison was the only alternative. The sentences he was given are to run concurrent with each other for a total of three years.

This character has been set to prison again. it has been 3 years in a row — the exact same type of crime and he only received a 3 yrs. sentence, dah? This person need be given a P.D.Sentence it is a sentence titled Probitional Denttion whereby the convict serve out the complete term in prison.. i.e. with no time off! In other words, if sent to jail for 10 yrs. then they will stay for the whole 10 years.
