Berkeley’s Key Club Donates To Salvation Army
The Berkeley Institute’s Key Club, sponsored by the Kiwanis Club of Hamilton, has completed their annual canned food drive.
This year, from November 18 until December 6, the Key Club encouraged students of the Berkeley Institute to donate non-perishable items to assist the less fortunate in the community.
Key Club President Jazmine Cann and member Constance Solis with Salvation Army Divisional Commander Major Shawn Critch.
Students gave generously and the club also received donations from the Bermuda General Agency [BGA]. As was the case last year, the collected food items were handed over to the Salvation Army.
The Berkeley Institute Key Club performs community service within the school, the wider community, and contributes to international projects. In the new year, The Berkeley Institute’s Key Club will raise funds to donate to the Trauma Unit for the children’s ward of King Edward VII Memorial Hospital.
