Teen Pleads Guilty To Assaulting Police Officer
Appearing in Magistrates Court today [Mar 23], a 17-year-old male pleaded guilty to assaulting a police officer and using threatening words.
Oliver Rodriguez-Ramos re-appeared in Court this morning, and pleaded guilty to unlawfully assaulting a police officer and using threatening words on 7th March 2015. The Crown did not proceed with the other charges to which he had pleaded not guilty in his first appearance earlier this month.
The Court previously heard that the teenager said: “F**** the police. … I’m part of Parkside. … I’m going to get you.”
Accepting the guilty pleas on the two counts, Magistrate Khamisi Tokunbo ordered a Social Inquiry Report and set sentencing for 13th May.
Rodriguez-Ramos had his bail extended until then.
