Sunday May 24th: “Good News” Spotlight

News that the Hamilton Princess has hired 200 people for the summer season, Bermuda being given a second chance to show off its warm hospitality, local musician Mike Hind being featured on the cover of UKE Magazine, and students at Saltus Grammar School raising more than $6,300 for earthquake relief in Nepal were some of the positive news stories from the past week.

Other positive stories included news that Shamar Morris was awarded the prestigious XL Catlin scholarship, international law firm Walkers will be opening a Bermuda office, creative studio Uber Super Duper  opening an office in Hamilton and Bermudian culture – specifically the Cup Match holiday – being praised in a National Geographic travel article.

We also posted various community photo galleries, including the ARC sailboats, Steven Spielberg’s $200 million super yacht, Once Upon A Time Preschool’s Bermuda Day Parade, Devonshire Preschool Heritage Projects & Sports Day, Alpha Kappa Alpha anniversary gala, Bermuda Onion Day in St David’s, KBB Clean-Up, Uptown Market launch, CedarBridge Academy Multicultural Day and Fairmont Southampton’s Taxi Appreciation event.
