Sunday November 27th: “Good News” Spotlight
News that the TechAwards ceremony highlighted innovation including talented Berkeley student Jacari Renfroe, the National Sports Centre will host 100 visiting swimmers, Jonte Smith scored in a Lewes Football Club draw, and the Premier’s Concert showcased talented young performers were all some of the positive news stories from the past week.
Other good news stories included the release of a new book exploring the history of Pembroke Parish, Bermudian goalkeeper Nathan Trott making ‘brilliant’ saves, KFC donating $1,289 to Bermuda Red Cross, Saltus Grammar School students developing an ad campaign for the BF&M Bermuda Cancer and Health Centre Breast Cancer Walk, BIOS Hydrostation S receiving funding support and Shaunte Simons being called to the Bar.
In additional good news, Mount Saint Agnes Academy students worked with the Bermuda Audubon Society, Digicel launched its ‘Get Gifted’ and ‘Make A Wish’ campaigns, the Bermuda Bicycle Association presented its awards, and Marcus Scotland was selected for the Surrey U14 cricket squad.
