Photos: Bermuda Celebrates Women’s Day
Crowds of people gathered at City Hall today [March 9], as Bermuda celebrated International Women’s Day, which has a theme of “Press For Progress” this year.
IWD is held across the world and serves to celebrate the social, economic, cultural and political achievements of women, and today’s Bermuda event involved speeches, entertainment, a walk and more.
“The day also focuses on the clear momentum that is building towards gender parity. Now, more than ever, there’s a strong call-to-action to press forward and progress gender parity,” organisers said.
