Video: Sunday Sept 1st ‘Good News’ Spotlight

News that Jessica Lewis won three medals and set a new record at the Parapan Games in Peru, Bermuda won a bronze medal in the Eastern Caribbean Volleyball Tournament, and cricket players Okera Bascome, Delray Rawlins and Onias Bascome were named to Dream Cricket’s best player list were all some of the positive news stories from the past week.

In additional good news, Chante Pitcher, Jameko Gomes, Kevin DaCosta, Zara Francis-Roban, and Marques Jean-Baptiste graduated from the Technology Leadership Forum Summer Programme, Sol Petroleum donated $5,000 to BIOS, KPMG awarded scholarships to Ashley Farrington and Imani Smith, Wakefield Quin awarded legal scholarships to Ojeda Smith and Shayla Smith, and National Geographic spotlighted the Walsingham Nature Reserve.

Other good news stories included baseball player Adam Hall being named to the South Atlantic League Postseason All-Star Team, Beth Neale raising money for charity as she broke a diving record in Bermuda’s waters, Darlington manager Alun Armstrong praising Bermudian footballers Osagi Bascome and Justin Donawa, Patrick Nisbett finishing first in two classes in Belgium, Milan Butterfield scoring for the Kidderminster Harriers, and Chelsea Amber scoring dual airplay hits.
