Video: Sunday Sept 8th ‘Good News’ Spotlight
News that locals donated a ship full of supplies to help the Bahamas, Sabrina Burgess earned her IFBB Pro Card, Shannon Thomas was awarded a Carey Olsen bursary, Bermuda Arts Council Grants were awarded to Rashun Robinson, Leslie Tucker and Peri Nolan-Trott, and Bermudian producer Bayard Outerbridge’s film was honoured at the Fresco International Film Festival in Armenia were all some of the positive news stories from the past week.
In additional good news, Jonte Smith signed with Cheltenham Town, cricket player Delray Rawlins won the Porsche ‘Performance of the Month’, Philip Correia will represent Bermuda at the FEI Jumping World Finals in Ecuador, and Kim Caines Best had her moment in the spotlight at the US Open Tennis Championships when she caught a ball hit into the crowd by tennis star Roger Federer.
