Video: Sunday March 13th ‘Good News’ Spotlight
News that Dr. Carika Weldon was named the ‘Woman of the Year,’ BF&M donated 300 care packages with $20,000 of supplies to support the Women’s Resource Centre, MoonGate Group delivered ‘We Care’ packages to vulnerable people in the community, and Oliver Betschart won a golf tournament in Texas were all some of the positive news stories from the past week.
In additional good news, Elan Daley won medals at the Trials Selection Invite, Rockal Evans helped his team finish third in the Sydney Regatta, Nathan Armstrong helped break a Rider University program record, and Kaden Hopkins finished second in a U23 race in Spain.
Other good news stories included the Hamilton Princess & Beach Club donating $1,500 to the Family Centre, the MSC Meraviglia cruise ship will sail to Bermuda from New York City in 2023, Bermuda won the best airport of its size in the region, Marshall Diel & Myers donated to help Ukraine, Tai Williams scored in a Deeping Rangers win, Jah-Nhai Perinchief is set to compete in the World Indoor Championships, and Jacob Madeiros scored in a May River win.
