Ball Hockey: Spine And Sport & Frontier Win
A 17 goal double-header took place at the PCC Hockey Rink in the latest round of Bermuda Ball Hockey action.
Alexandra Mosher 3 Spine and Sport 6
In the opener, Spine and Sport defeated Alexandra Mosher 6 – 3.
The teams ended the first period level at 2 – 2, JM Tremblay scored twice for Alexandra Mosher, while Christopher Merritt, and Brandon Willett scored a goal each for Spine and Sport.
Spine and Sport outscored Alexandra Mosher 3 – 1 in the second period to take a 5 – 3 lead. Merritt completed his hat-trick with two strikes in the period, with Jeffrey Ingelman adding the other, Kyle Havey scored the lone goal in the period for Alexandra Mosher.
Colin Long scored the lone goal of the third period for Spine and Sport to make the final 6 – 3.
Frontier 5 BDA Spirits 3
In the nightcap Frontier came from behind and defeated BDA Spirits 5 – 3.
BDA Spirits held a 3 – 2 lead at the end of the first period, Ross Rufiange scored twice for BDA Spirits who also got a single strike from Tripp Davies, while Cam Poland scored twice for Frontier.
Matthew Benson brought Frontier level with the only goal in the second period.
Benson scored two goals in the third period to complete his hat-trick and earn Frontier the 5 – 3 win.
