Video: Sunday May 1st ‘Good News’ Spotlight
News that the Bermuda Zoological Society and volunteers planted a second ‘micro forest’ in Warwick, Saltwater Jewellery Design was featured on the CBS News Sunday Morning show, the solar project at the airport won the Best Utility-Scale Project in the Caribbean award, and Bermuda College will be offering a new online MBA programme through a partnership with Framingham State University were all some of the positive news stories from the past week.
In additional good news, our volleyball team won the silver bracket in Rhode Island, Trey Mallory helped UNCW win the conference title, a Bermuda trio helped Hartley Wintney win, Meredith Andrews won an AOP Photography Award, BPBA donated $3,000 to St John’s Ambulance, Shanna Lespere earned the IoD Designation, and MSC Meraviglia is set to visit Bermuda in 2023.
More good news included Casey Truran helping SCAD win the Commission Nationals, Cameron Jeffers and Amari Ebbin helping Cowbridge win, Robin Horsfield winning his category in Canada, Bermuda archers claiming wins in an online shoot, SailGP Inspire featuring Tre Maxwell, and Bermuda’s rugby team defeating Belize and Barbados.
