Support Students On 2023 World Book Day
Nikita Robinson of The Worship Room on Magic102.7FM is inviting the public to mark World Book Day by supporting “a nursery, preschool, public primary, middle, high school or boys’ and girls’ home.”
A spokesperson said, “Evangelist Nikita Robinson of The Worship Room on Magic102.7FM is inviting the public to support a nursery, preschool, public primary, middle, high school or boys’ and girls’ home to help celebrate World Book Day 2023, which is less than a week away.
“1,302 books will be delivered to 39 pre/nursery schools throughout the island in celebration of World Book Day. In addition, 18 public primary school reading classes and public middle and high school libraries, as well as the boys’ and girls’ home will be receiving books as well.
“World Book Day is Nikita’s favorite day of the year, which happens to be the day before her 55th birthday this year. The love of literacy will be spread from one end of the island to the other by community sponsors and reading volunteers. Reading Officer Kim Manderson from the Department of Education has lent her support again by retrieving specific book requests from each of the reading specialists at our public primary schools and Bermuda Education Network has lent their support with reading volunteers.
“It’s not too late to participate:
“To donate, go to or call The Bookmart department at Brown & Co with your debit or credit card at 279-5443 to purchase books or a gift card for a school that has not yet been adopted and still needs books or a school of your choice.
