Video: Sunday March 19th ‘Good News’ Spotlight

News that Janeek Providence from the Department of Employee and Organizational Development earned the PSEA award, ten new firefighters graduated from their recruitment training course, and the Eater media channel featured fisherman Delvin Bean were all some of the positive news stories from the past week.

In additional good news, martial arts promotion company Shotocup announced its first fully sponsored Shotocup karate athlete, Taylor Ming, hailing from the Harto-Ryu dojo, Jackson Langley put on a dominant performance in Sarasota, Florida to claim victory in the Youth Elite Male category, and Oliver Betschart won the 13-14 Boys Age Group Division during the Spring Break Classic in Texas.

Other good news stories included Sincere Hall scoring in a Hull City U21 victory, Caitlin Conyers winning the Women’s Challenge CV in Spain, William Frith placing third in U.S. Junior Squash, Robin Stempel achieving qualifying scores for NAYC, Sancho Smith winning the 800m event at the CAU Panther Invitational, Freemasons Fund donating to two local charities, and Terry Lister winning the Independent Press Award.
