Estwanik And MacGuinness Win Fidelity 5K
Chris Estwanik returned to the local running scene with a victory in the David Saul Memorial – Fidelity 5K Run today [January 28].
Estwanik, the eight-time Bermuda Day Half Marathon champion, posted a time of 15min 42sec.
Adam Prunty came second in 17:13, and Sanchez Smith placed third in 18:00.
Dominique Mayho, one of the top Bermudian cyclists, finished fifth in 18:28.
In the women’s race, Naomi MacGuinness claimed victory in 18:54, with Gabriella Cechini second in 19:11 and Rose-Anna Hoey, a three-time May 24 winner, coming third in 19:59.
Laura Wright won the 5K Competitive Walk in 34:54, with Junior Watts placing second in 35:23 and Nancy Andrews-Sousa rounding out the podium in 36:36.
