A spokesperson said, “Bermuda is one of two Concacaf Member Associations invited to take part in this pilot project, which will run from March 18 to 26, 2024.
“As Bermuda looks to continue its preparation and planning for the World Cup Qualifying matches scheduled for June 2024, this is an excellent opportunity for our players to get experience and exposure beyond our confederation.”
“Our Senior Men’s National Team will join the following teams in Saudi Arabia:
- Brunei Darussalam [Asian Football Confederation]
- Guinea [Confederation of African Football]
- Vanuatu [Oceania Football Confederation]
“An extremely exciting and beneficial opportunity for our senior men’s national team to be invited to an event such as the inaugural FIFA Series at a time where we are striving to create the best possible environments for our players as we continue our growth as a team and specifically our preparation for June’s 2026 World Cup Qualifying matches”, said Head Coach Michael Findlay.
“Speaking of the vision for the Senior Men’s National Team program went on to say, “Our vision is to be consistently competitive within the Concacaf region at all levels and competitions. It’s international events like this that present the challenges, standards, and experiences that our players require to compete at the international level of play.”
