Boys & Girls Brigades Raise $2000 For Charity
The Bermuda Boys’ Brigade and Church Girls’ Brigade held their annual Christmas Car Wash and Sale, raising $2,000 for The Family Centre.
A spokesperson said, “On Saturday, December 7, 2024 the Bermuda Boys’ Brigade and the Church Girls’ Brigade worked together at their annual Christmas Car Wash & Christmas & Nearly New Sale at St. Paul’s Church car park and church hall in Paget.
“The Brigade members worked very hard with their leaders, families, friends and other volunteers to raise funds and, as a result, were able to deposit $2,000 into The Family Centre Hardship BELCO account.”
The Family Centre’s Executive Director, Dr Sandy De Silva said “Many thanks to the Girls and Boys Brigade who are again providing critical support to Family Centre’s clients in financial hardship through your annual Christmas sale and car wash! Every year, I share how your generosity helps to keep the lights on for many families, and it remains true! Thank you for your partnership in supporting Bermuda’s families in hardship.”
A spokesperson added, “The Church Girls’ Brigade meet on Thursday evenings and the Boys’ Brigade on Friday evenings in the Christian Education Centre and new members are welcome to join.”
