Blazers Rally to Defeat Rangers in Shield Quarter-Final
The Boulevard Blazers overcame a two-goal deficit to defeat Southampton Rangers 3-2 in a thrilling Shield Quarter-Final match at PHC Stadium.
Rangers took an early lead with a goal from Sijay Samuels in the 5th minute. Kenfari Swan equalized for the Blazers just before halftime.
In the second half, Jakeem Jennings put Rangers ahead again in the 54th minute. The Blazers responded quickly, with Ernest Trott tying the game at 2-2 five minutes later. Jazion Talbot-Thomas scored the winning goal for the Blazers in the 82nd minute.
With the victory, the Blazers advance to the Shield Semi-Finals.
Zebras Dominate Wolves in Friendship Quarter-Final
The PHC Zebras secured a decisive 5-0 victory over Wolves in the Friendship Trophy Quarter-Final at PHC Stadium.
Zebras captain Kadheem Abraham opened the scoring in the 8th minute. Joshua Joseph extended the lead in the 30th minute, followed by a goal from Shavon Nisbett just before halftime.
Enrique Russell scored two goals in the second half, including a penalty kick, to complete the 5-0 rout.
The Zebras advance to the Friendship Trophy Semi-Finals.
