Ball Hockey: Charlestown Chiefs Win

The Bermuda inline ball hockey summer league season continued with a doubleheader at the PCC Hockey Rink, featuring a scoreless draw and a 25-goal offensive showcase.

In the initial contest, the Long Island Ducks and Hyannisport Presidents played to a 0-0 tie. Neither team scored during regulation or overtime.

The second game saw the Charlestown Chiefs defeat the Broome County Blades 13-12 in a high-scoring affair that produced 25 goals.

Matthew Benson led the Charlestown Chiefs with five goals. Marcel Bouwens, Chris Grantier, and Shawn Mckee each contributed two goals, while Pete Brodsky and Brett Williamson added one goal each.

For the Broome County Blades, Brett Sheriffs scored four goals. Ryan Wilson and Josh Wilson each recorded a hat trick, and Richard Campbell scored one goal.
