Ball Hockey: Charlestown & Long Island Win

The Bermuda inline ball hockey league saw a total of 25 goals scored across two games as league action resumed at the PCC Hockey Rink.

The Charlestown Chiefs earned a dominant win in the opener, while the Long Island Ducks secured a narrow victory in a high-scoring second match.

Charlestown Chiefs 9, Broome County Blades 1

In the first game, the Charlestown Chiefs defeated the Broome County Blades 9-1.

Matthew Benson recorded a hat-trick to lead the Chiefs. Pete Brodsky and James Amaral scored two goals apiece, with single goals coming from Marcel Bouwens and Chris Grantier.

Richard Campbell scored the lone goal for the Broome County Blades.

Long Island Ducks 8, Hyannisport Presidents 7

The second contest was a close affair, with the Long Island Ducks edging the Hyannisport Presidents 8-7.

Jeremy Estey scored four goals for the Ducks. Adam Mattatal, Bruce Sinclair, Jake Fenske, and Max Boivin each added a goal in the victory.

For the Presidents, Rob Osborne and Eric Walker both registered hat-tricks, and Ryan Bates added one goal.
