Man Facing Drug Charges Seeks Bail Variation

January 18, 2013

Having previously been granted $25,000 bail with one surety, Barbadian national Dave MacDonald Trotman, 39, re-appeared in Magistrates Court this morning [Jan 18] to seek a variation on his bail.

Mr Trotman has been in custody since being charged with importing and possessing $178,000 worth of cocaine in December 2012.

His lawyer asked that the one surety bail condition of $25,000 be altered so that two different persons could each put up the value of $12,500. Senior Magistrate Archie Warner agreed and re-set the surety order.
