List: New Island Games Records Set In Bermuda

A number of new records were set at the recent Island Games, with Bermuda’s athletes claiming seven of them.

Sprinter Tre Houston set records in both the 100m and 200m, both times setting a record in the heats and coming back to break his own record in the finals.

Jasmine Brunson set a new record in the triple jump, while Ashley Yearwood set a new record in the 50m freestyle. Bermuda’s swimmers set two new Island Games records in both the women’s 4x50m freestyle relay and the 4x50m medley relay.

In addition to the Island Games records, local athletes also set a number of Bermuda National and Age Group records.
