29 Year Old Man Remains In ICU After Collision

The motorcycle rider that was injured on Tuesday [Oct 8] night reains in the hospital’s Intensive Care Unit with internal injuries. Police continue their appeal for the rider of a second motorcycle that was also travelling west at the time of the collision to contact police.

A police spokesperson said, “At last check the 29 year old Pembroke man seriously injured when the motorcycle he was riding collided with a rental cycle around 8:20pm Tuesday, October 8th on South Road in Paget remains in the Intensive Care Unit with internal injuries.

“The rider of the rental cycle, a 52 year old Warwick woman, suffered a broken wrist.

“Police are still appealing for the rider of a second motorcycle that was travelling west with the 29 year old Pembroke man at the time of the collision to contact police, as that rider is an important witness in this investigation.

“Anyone with any information regarding this collision is encouraged to contact PC Milen Simons on 295-0011.”

    I knew it was going to happen and it will happen again because you have motorcycle riders who see a bike coming the other way and still proceed to overtake forcing the oncoming rider off to the side of the road to make space for their stupid arses to pass unharmed —–i was riding on harbour road one morning singing a song and enjoying my relaxing ride home when i was clipped by a bike going the other way cause they felt that me as a motorbike rider should be going over to make way for them —–

    Lemme guess, the cameras at Paget stoplights don’t work? I mean, if they passed through there, it’d be pretty easy look at a set time frame and check the license plates of any bikes that went by on South Road…
