Video: Sunday Oct 15th ‘Good News’ Spotlight
News that two new ambulances were donated to Bermuda Hospitals Board, Patrick Nisbett won the Brabant Cup in Belgium, CedarBridge Academy is raising funds for breast cancer, and Maha Clark scored in a Queens University win were all some of the positive news stories from the past week.
In additional good news, business groups supported middle school studies, six months of free tennis lessons are being offered by Hamilton Princess to six children, three Fire Officers were promoted, and professional chefs and students are paired up for the Plates of Passion.
Other good news stories included Trey Simons winning the Cedric Walker HBCU Challenge and being awarded SIAC Male Runner of the Week honours, Aaliyah Nolan scoring in a North Texas victory, Nathan Trott and the England U20 squad defeating the Czech Republic, and Delray Rawlins being awarded an overseas placement in Sydney.
In more good news, the PHC Foundation awarded $42,000 in scholarships, the Court House will host a spinathon for charity on October 21, Clearwater Middle School students cleaned up 800 pounds of litter, and a short story contest is offering $6,600 prize award.
We also posted various community photo galleries, including coverage of Bermuda Powerboat Racing, the BNAA Fort Scaur Cross Country Race, three fire officers being promoted, the Gombey Festival at Botanical Gardens, and the Tiaras and Bow Ties Daddy Daughter Princess Dance.
