Weekend Motorcycle Crashes Result In Injuries

Two single vehicle motorcycle crashes over the weekend, one in Paget and one in Warwick, resulted in non-life threatening injuries to the respective drivers involved.

A police spokesperson said, “Around 9.40pm on Saturday, April 26, first responders attended a reported single vehicle motorcycle collision on Middle Road in Warwick near the junction with Burnt House Hill.

“The injured motorcyclist, a 30-year-old Pembroke man, was taken to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital via ambulance for treatment of non-life threatening injuries. Apparently he was subsequently discharged from the hospital.

“Traffic was diverted away from the area while collision investigators examined the scene.

“Inquiries into this collision are ongoing and any witnesses that have not already come forward are encouraged to contact PC Kendy Swainson at the Somerset Police Station on 234-1010.

The police spokesperson added, “Around 11.20pm on Sunday, April 27, first responders attended a reported single vehicle motorcycle collision on South Road in Paget near the junction with Honey Hill.

“The injured motorcyclist, a 28-year-old Warwick man, was taken to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital via ambulance for treatment. At last check, he was recovering in stable condition on a general ward. Traffic was diverted away from the area while collision investigators examined the scene.

“Inquiries into this collision are ongoing and any witnesses that have not already come forward are encouraged to contact PC Dominique Simons at the Hamilton Police Station on 247-1704.”
