Court: 47-Year-Old Woman Charged With Murder

In Magistrates Court, a 47-year-old St George’s woman was charged with the murder of Marcus Gibbings in 2006.
Katrina Burgess is the second person to be charged, as back in July of this year, her brother Cleveland Rogers was charged with the premeditated murder of Marcus Gibbings, who was found stabbed to death on October 26, 2006.
She was not required to enter a plea as her case will be heard in Supreme Court.
Ms Burgess was granted $200,000 bail with a like surety. She also had to surrender her travel documents and wear an electronic monitoring device.
She was ordered to report to the Hamilton Police Station on Monday and Thursday between 6am and 8pm.
