Canadian Summer Camp Forum On February 7
A Canadian Summer Camp Information Forum is set to be held on Thursday, February 7 at Saltus Alumi Hall.
A spokesperson said, “When parents want to send their child to summer camp, there are many questions to ask. Is my child ready for camp? Should we select a day camp or overnight camp? What if my child gets homesick? What activities does the camp offer? How much does camp cost?
“The Canadian Summer Camp Information Session will educate local families and alumni about summer programs offered to keep children of all ages engaged and active this summer. Programs such as these assist in bridging the opportunity and achievement gaps found in youth within the community.
“Onondaga Camp and Camp Kandalore are well respected in Minden, Ontario [2.5 hours northeast of Toronto] with a combined total of over 100 years of providing residential campers with an experience they will never forget. They welcome boys and girls ages 6 to 17 years old for 2 and 4 week programs throughout July and August each summer and have a vast variety of programs for every child’s interest.
“At both camps, approximately 90% of the campers come from within Canada and 10% from all around the world. These camps offer a truly Canadian summer camp experience.
“Please join us to see a slideshow of the camps as well as ask any questions to the Camp Director that you might have. This event will also feature light refreshments.
