Video: Sunday Oct 11th ‘Good News’ Spotlight
News that Jeremy Cox, Dr. Carika Weldon, Clarence “Tootsie” Bean and Cathy Bassett have all been recognized in the annual Queen’s Birthday Honours List, Flora Duffy won the Arzachena World Cup in Italy and AXA XL won Bermuda Insurer of the Year were all some of the positive news stories from the past week.
In additional good news, Endeavour Sailing celebrated youth sailors, Nahki Wells scored in a Bristol City victory, Leilanni Nesbeth scored in a Florida State victory, Nathan Armstrong won the Garret Mountain Cross Country race, Suzanne Ericsson won four martial arts tournaments, and Delray Rawlins signed a contract extension with Sussex.
Other good news stories included Ignite Bermuda’s second cohort reporting an increase of 5.7% in sales, as well as 15 full-time and 28 part-time jobs created, the Harvey Cooper Award offering cash prizes and the BUT celebrating World Teachers’ Day
We also posted various community photo galleries, including coverage of the Duke of Edinburgh’s International Award holding joint training sessions, Flag Football League action, the Hamilton Rotary Interact Club awards, and First and Premier Division football action.
