Football Ticket Sales Temporarily Put On Hold
The BFA advised that ticket sales for the Bermuda and Montserrat football game — scheduled for June 14 in Bermuda — “have been temporarily put on hold” as they are “awaiting updates on the status of the match and due to the uncertainty over logistical matters.”
A spokesperson said, “The Bermuda Football Association [BFA] wishes to advise all fans planning to attend the next home match of the Concacaf Nations League between Bermuda and Montserrat scheduled for Tuesday, June 14th at the Dame Flora Duffy South Field Stadium, that tickets sales have been temporarily put on hold until further notice.
“The Association is awaiting updates on the status of the match and due to the uncertainty over logistical matters we deemed it necessary to hold off on further ticket sales until such time as the status of the match is confirmed. We anticipate providing a further update this week and we ask everyone for your patience as there will be no further information available until the next update.
“We wish to take this moment to thank those fans that attended the game versus Haiti on Saturday evening. Our players and staff were excited for the opportunity to perform on home soil and in front of their fans against Haiti, group favourites and one of the Caribbean powerhouses. The result was a significant improvement on previous matches against Haiti and with your support the team will aim to improve upon this performance.
“We encourage everyone to continue supporting the team during their next two Concacaf Nations League matches against Guyana on Tuesday, June 7th in Guyana and Saturday, June 11th against Montserrat in the Dominican Republic. Thereafter, we look forward to the return match versus Montserrat on June 14th.”
