Raleigh Bermuda recently held their 2022 Venturers’ Graduation ceremony at Deloitte Bermuda.
A spokesperson said, “The graduating group were the first to be trained under the climate of a global pandemic and the first to be flown overseas as all of Raleigh globally transitions into societies due to the ceasing of Raleigh International UK operations.
“Raleigh Bermuda spent several months working with our young Bermudians training them in local training camps before sending them overseas to Costa Rica for a four-week expedition where the worked with the indigenous communities by helping to build schools, irrigation systems, engaging in environmental projects and trekking for several days through the jungles and mountains.”
Raleigh Executive Director Dany Pen said, “Completing the Raleigh Bermuda Venturers’ training camps was not an easy task – it required of our young people to be challenged in all areas of life – mentally, emotionally, physically, and spiritually. The intensity of our survival-based programme also challenges our young people to overcome hardship and persevere through unexpected obstacles to achieve their goals.
“Today we also celebrate our 2022 Graduates and the rite of passage and acknowledgement of our young Bermudians stepping into Manhood and Womanhood. I am extremely proud of my team who have stepped up to ensure the experience that our young people receive are purposeful in their journey as they transition into adulthood.”
The spokesperson said, “On behalf of Raleigh Bermuda’s Chairman Tasha Jones and the Board, they also send their congratulations to the graduates and officially welcome them into the Raleigh Family as Alumni.

“The Raleigh Bermuda Venturers’ Scholarship Programme is an alternative skills-based education programme for young adults ages 17 – 24 years old. The scholarship programme is fully subsidised through community donations. Upon completion of the programme, participants graduate with a certificate and become alumni with opportunities of becoming Project Managers, Mentors, Coaches and Board Members in the organization.
“The programme helps young Bermudians ages 17 – 24 years old by providing them with a year-long personal development programming through coaching, local training camps and the opportunity of an overseas expedition.
