Video: Sunday Dec 31st “Good News” Spotlight
News that Christmas was celebrated across the island, Hamilton Princess & Beach Club provided a Christmas dinner to the Bermuda Police Service and Bermuda Fire & Rescue Service, and Minister Tinée Furbert commended third sector organizations for their “dedication to people in need” were all some of the positive news stories from the past week.
In additional good news, motocross races were held on Boxing Day, Bermuda national team cricketer Kamau Leverock has scored the ninth most runs in T20 internationals this year, Nia Christopher is 75th in the Women’s National College Soccer Player Rankings, and Keziah Martin scored for Boston United.
Other good news stories included Bernews’ Wallpaper Wednesday series featuring Santa Claus in Bermuda and the Bermuda Junior Squash National Championships being held, with seven division winners crowned across 10 divisions.
