Video: Sunday Feb 25th “Good News” Spotlight
News that John Barritt, Donald Scott, and Cecille Snaith-Simmons were inducted into the Company of Honorary Fellows of Bermuda College, Love is Love BDA hosted a brunch that raised $2,500 toward OUTBermuda’s education bursary, students from Bermuda Dance Academy impressed at the Adrenaline Dance Convention and Competition in Chicago were all some of the positive news stories from the past week.
In additional good news, Caitlyn Bobb won three gold medals at the America East Conference Championship, Oliver Betschart concluded competing in the 54 Hole Texas Junior Open, emerging from the competition as the winner in the boys 16-18 division, Abigail Brewer and Queen’s won matches in the OUA Squash Championships, and Nathan Armstrong won the 1000m event at the Big Apple Invitational.
Other good news stories included the Bermuda Tourism Authority being awarded four HSMAI Adrian Awards, the Paget Marsh boardwalk reopening to the public, Scott Barnes claiming two podium finishes, Conor White finishing second in Spain, Sakari Famous winning the LSU Twilight high jump, and Aeziah Divine signing for top British development team Microlise Cresswell Racing.
