Video: Sunday Nov 3rd “Good News” Spotlight
News that 14-year-old Bermudian Seri Fisher earned five medals at martial arts events in Florida, the Ladies Cancer Awareness Golf Tournament raised over $13,000 to support the Bermuda Cancer and Health Centre, and Arthur Wightman and Denise Carey of Home Bermuda were honoured at the Peace and Social Justice Award Ceremony were all some of the positive news stories from the past week.
In additional good news, Trey Mallory won both singles and doubles at the UNCW team invitational, the Brand Development Group [BDG] won “Best Campaign by a Healthcare Brand” in Chief Marketer’s 2024 Campaigns of the Year Awards, Tyler James earned a first place and a third place finish while competing at the Bruce’s Field II Horse Show in South Carolina, and Bermuda’s athletes claimed an impressive haul of medals at the inaugural Pickleball World Cup in Lima, Peru.
Other good news stories included Andrew Armstrong scoring for the University of Dayton, Jasmine Spence scoring in Newport Pagnell Town Women’s 5 – 2 win away to the Leicester City LFC First Team, Bermuda footballers Cody Robinson, Shane Robinson, Isaiah Francis, Tre Burgess, and Joshua Joseph helping Thomas College defeat the Lesley University Lynx by a score of 5 – 0, and Beyond Inclusion holding its Trunk or Treat event.
