MASC Expands Support For Men’s Mental Health
MASC is expanding its programs to enhance mental health and personal development support for men in Bermuda.
A spokesperson said, “MASC, Bermuda’s leading provider of mental health and personal development services for men, is expanding its comprehensive offerings to better support men at all stages of life. Through tailored programs, MASC continues its commitment to equipping men with the tools to navigate life’s challenges, improve relationships, and achieve personal growth.”
“As men, we often feel the pressure to be strong and self-sufficient, but true strength lies in seeking help when needed,” said Fitzgerald Williams, Co-Founder of MASC. “Our programs provide a safe space for men to share their experiences, gain insight, and develop the skills they need to thrive in their personal and professional lives.”
The spokesperson said, “To celebrate the expansion, MASC is offering a 10% registration discount on the initial individual sessions for all new clients. This limited-time offer is designed to make one-on-one mental health support more accessible to men in Bermuda. The discount applies only to individual sessions and cannot be used for other programs or offerings.
“MASC now offers the following key programs, addressing critical aspects of men’s mental health and well being:
24:7 Dad Program
“A structured, 24-session workshop designed to help men become more engaged, responsible, and emotionally connected fathers. The program strengthens parenting, relationship, and communication skills, offering men a deeper understanding of their roles as fathers.
“The 24:7 Dad sessions are relaunching this April. Interested participants are encouraged to contact MASC to secure their spot.
“I never had a father figure growing up, so I had no blueprint to follow. The 24:7 Dad Program changed everything for me—it gave me the tools and confidence to be the kind of father my kids need,” shared an anonymous father who completed the program.
The Manhood Project
“A mentorship-based initiative that guides young men through critical life skills, decision-making, and emotional awareness, fostering resilience and confidence in adolescence.
“I used to think being a man meant hiding how I felt. The Manhood Project helped me understand that expressing my emotions makes me stronger, not weaker,” said an anonymous teenager who participated in the program.
Mothers Raising Sons Program
“A partnership with Big Brothers Big Sisters Bermuda that provides guidance and support to single mothers raising boys. This initiative helps mothers better understand their sons’ emotional and developmental needs, ensuring that young men grow into responsible and confident adults.”
“Mothers play a crucial role in shaping their sons into men of character. This program empowers them with knowledge and tools to navigate the unique challenges of raising boys in today’s world,” said Patrina O’Connor-Paynter, Managing Director of Big Brothers Big Sisters Bermuda.
Alcohol and Substance Abuse Support
The spokesperson said, “A specialized program providing education, counseling, and recovery strategies for men struggling with substance use. This initiative helps men break free from addiction and regain control of their lives through evidence-based therapy and peer support.”
“Our mission is to ensure that every man has access to the support he needs, whether he’s battling addiction, navigating fatherhood, or struggling with his mental health,” said Dr. Ernest Peets Jr., Co-Founder of MASC. “By expanding our services, we are breaking barriers and ensuring men have a space where they can heal and grow.”
Employee Assistance Program [EAP]
The spokesperson said, “A brand-new initiative designed to support businesses and their employees by offering confidential mental health and wellness services. MASC’s EAP provides counseling, stress management, and workplace conflict resolution to improve overall productivity and employee well-being.
“MASC was founded on the belief that mental health is a cornerstone of personal and professional success. Through individual counseling, group therapy, and specialized programs, MASC continues to be a trusted resource for men in Bermuda.”
“We understand that asking for help isn’t always easy, but MASC is here to change that,” added Tyrone McHardy, Co-Founder of MASC. “Our expanded programs ensure that no man has to face his struggles alone.”
