The Bermuda Cricket Board First Division saw Western Stars, PHC, and Southampton Rangers SC all secure victories.

Western Stars Defeat Somerset Bridge – Western Stars 128/5 Somerset Bridge 100/7

At Lord’s in St. David’s, Western Stars delivered a controlled performance to claim a 28-run victory over Somerset Bridge. Opting to bat first, the Stars posted 128 for 5 in their 20 overs, with Ryan Tyrrell providing the backbone of the innings with a well-crafted 61. Somerset Bridge’s Noel Woods was the most frugal bowler, picking up one wicket for just nine runs.

Somerset Bridge struggled to gain traction in their reply, eventually falling short at 100 for 7. Donnie Charles top-scored with 24, but Seth Campbell proved to be the thorn in their side, bagging three wickets for 11 runs for Western Stars.

PHC Ease Past Flatt’s Victoria – Flatts Victoria Recreation Club 123/5 PHC 127/4

The second match at Lord’s saw PHC record a 6-wicket victory over Flatt’s Victoria Recreation Club. After Flatt’s Victoria posted 123 for 5, with Dajon Carey leading their scoring with 37, PHC’s Charles Trott impressed with the ball, taking two wickets for just 10 runs.

PHC made light work of the chase, reaching 127 for 4. Davin Dill anchored their innings with a solid 55 off 48 deliveries. Cory Tucker-Smith managed a solitary wicket for Flatt’s, but PHC’s batsmen were largely untroubled in securing the win.

Southampton Rangers Chase Down Willow Cuts Score – Willow Cuts 130/7 Southampton Rangers 131/3

The action at Somerset Cricket Club saw a closer affair, with Southampton Rangers SC overcoming Willow Cuts by 7 wickets. Willow Cuts posted 130 for 7, with Deunte Darrell just short of a half-century on 49. Dion Stovell was the standout bowler for Rangers, claiming an impressive four wickets for 23 runs.

Southampton Rangers successfully chased down the total, reaching 131 for 3. Openers Nacori Smith and Dion Stovell both contributed crucial scores of 39, setting the platform for victory. Ras Solomon Burrows picked up two wickets for Willow Cuts, but the Rangers held their nerve to secure the win.
