Netball: BNA Summer League Results

The Bermuda Netball Association’s summer league continued at Bernard’s Park, featuring five matches across the women’s and co-ed leagues.

In women’s league action, Phoenix Flames defeated Law and Disorder 24-4. Jaya Dillas led the Flames with 15 goals and was named MVP and best attacker. Keishay Tucker added 7 goals, and Amari Graham scored twice. Imani Smith was also an MVP for the Flames. Hannah Tindesley scored all four goals for Law and Disorder and earned MVP and best attacker honours, while Caroline Robinson was their best defender.

Devonshire Cougars secured a 20-14 victory over K-Net Assets. Miesha Greaves and Kristin Holman each scored 5 goals for the Cougars. MVP and best attacker Demiqua Daniels, Jamir Hatherley, and Charlene Bogle each added 3 goals, and Donnell Simons scored once. Tina Wall was the Cougars’ best defender. Denise Truter led K-Net Assets with 9 goals and was named best attacker, while Khianda Pearman-Watson added 5 goals. Jamila Godwin was K-Net’s best defender, and Andrea Jan was the MVP.

St. George’s defeated PHC 23-17 in the final women’s league match. Nisaiah Berkeley scored 15 goals for St. George’s. Stacey O’Brien added 5 goals, Cherie Manders scored twice, and best attacker Stacey Ann Brown netted one. Dezirae Darrell was St. George’s best defender, and Shawnae Brangman was the MVP. Sarafina Woolridge-Burns led PHC with 11 goals, followed by Tyra-Lyn Simmons with 4 and Vernicka Symonds with 2. Melissa Burrows was named both best attacker and MVP for PHC, with Tahira Hill recognised as their best defender.

In co-ed league play, Storm Chasers defeated Front Street Mafia 42-13. Antoine Williams scored 35 goals for the Storm, with Jamir Hatherley adding 7. Zariah Amory was the Storm’s best attacker, Tariq Bean their best defender, and Terita Bean the MVP. Charlotte Evans scored 11 goals for FS Mafia and was named MVP, while Ciara Izuchukwu and Olivia Bogg each added a goal. Kyle Godfrey was the best attacker, and Jasmine Mapp the best defender.

Goal Diggers edged out Ren Re 21-9 in the final match of the night. MVP Paul Simons led the Goal Diggers with 9 goals, while best attacker Jaya Dillas added 8. Jarye Bean scored three times, and Jaman Lottimore once. Kiante Lightbourne was the Goal Diggers’ best defender. Sarafina Woolridge-Burns led Ren Re with 6 goals and was named best attacker, while Kiara Francis added 3, and Best Defender Antoinay Tankard scored once. Brighton Swan was the MVP for Ren Re.
