Adrian Dill Appointed As Director Of Energy
Adrian Dill has been appointed as Director of Energy for the Ministry of Home Affairs.
A Government spokesperson said, “The Head of the Public Service, Cherie Whitter, is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr. Adrian Dill as the Director of Energy for the Ministry of Home Affairs.
“In this capacity, Mr. Dill will work under the policy direction of the Permanent Secretary for the Ministry of Home Affairs and will be responsible for providing strategic leadership and guidance for the Department of Energy.
“Mr. Dill brings 30 years of combined experience across the private and public sectors, including 12 years in Bermuda’s regulated energy and fuels industries, having held senior roles at BELCO and Rubis Energy Bermuda.
“Adrian began his public service career as an Energy Policy Analyst and has since served in key leadership roles, including Acting Assistant Director of Public Transportation and Acting Director of Energy.
“Mr. Dill holds a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering, a Master of Business Administration, and is a Chartered Engineer and Member of the Institution of Engineering and Technology [MIET].
Excellent. Now then, can Mr. Dill cancel the offshore wind farm consultation debacle?
I think you may be giving too much weight to the “consultation”.
Our government does not have a good track record of paying attention to any “consultation”.
Oh, I know. In my email exchanges with the RA, it quickly became clear that objections are moot in the pursuit of the Government’s green agenda. Hence, spending another million, the consultants recommended to “derisk” the windfarm project. The project was increased in size to make it look more appealing to investors. Fingers and toes are crossed that no vendor expresses interest. No green group in Bermuda will invest.
“No green group in Bermuda will invest”
Not even Greenrock? It has the perfect name!
I know the Director, Greenrock will not touch it, but supports others spending money to raise our electric rate, #1 in the world by the way, higher to save the planet. I guess that would make us #1+.
